The COVID-19 pandemic is taking its toll on public health, the global economy and people’s everyday way of life. It has also impacted on the nature of social interactions and criminal activities. With the purpose of providing evidence to monitor how COVID-19 is impacting the global and local landscape of crime, UNODC has launched a dedicated initiative to collect monthly data on selected crime indicators.
A series of analytical briefs have been produced on the impact of Covid-19 on drug supply and demand as well as on various forms of crime. Available research briefs are accessible here.
